Regarding Groknard's Auction of the Week

So I just realized that something may have gotten lost or misunderstood over the course of time regarding my "Auction of the Week". I'm a bit embarrassed now that I've realized it.

AotW is not something I've won. Ghod knows, I don't need much more of anything!

AotW is for you, the readers. It's a current running auction (when I post it) and I try only to list things that have at least 4 days left. It's also not an auction where I'm the Seller (maybe someday, but I'll be clear about that), not sponsored by eBay or the Seller in any way, and I generally only list things that look like they're a good value. I will never bid against you on anything I post for AotW. If there's nothing good that week, I'll skip it or maybe post something later in the week.

Sorry for any misunderstanding. It wasn't until tonight that I realized that some readers may have thought this was "This is what I won this week on eBay!" No no no no. The wife would kill me.

But wait! There's more.....

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 7/15/09

This week we've got a FASA Star Trek The Role Playing Game 2nd Edition lot, most from around 1987, that looks like the perfect way to jump whole-hog into the system. Starts off with the 2E box set (2001D) that includes the three core rulebooks and the Star Trek Starship Tactical Combat Simulator (rules, master control book, map and counters). Looks like it's got everything except the dice (two 20-sided, numbered 0-9 twice; you can just use D10 with 0-9). Also included:

- (2002) The Klingons (Second Edition)
- (2301) Klingons Ship Recognition Manual (Second Edition)
- (2302) Federation Ship Recognition Manual(Second Edition)
- (2303) Romulan Ship Recognition Manual
- (2204) Ship Construction Manual (Second Edition)
- (2225) The White Flame Starship Combat Scenario Pack from 1988
- (2227) Star Trek: The Next Generation First Year Sourcebook from 1989

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 6/29/09

FASA Star Trek Technical Combat Simulator booksThis week's auction is a nice collection of FASA books specifically related to the Star Trek Technical Combat Simulator. No counters, dice or maps, but would make a handy set of reference tools if you plan on playing STCS online with Rob Carignan's excellent VASSAL STCS module or the amazing ST:STCS Computer Version.

Included in the auction are:

- Star Trek Starship Tactical Combat Simulator (FASA 2003) - Rule book and Master Control Book
- Klingons Ship Recognition Manual, Second Edition (FASA 2301)
- Federation Ship Recognition Manual, Second Edition (FASA 2302)
- Romulan Ship Recognition Manual (FASA 2303)
- Star Trek III: Sourcebook Update (FASA 2214)

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 6/25/09

LUG's 1999 The Way of D'Era: The Romulan Star EmpireI'm a little confused about what makes up this week's auction, so you may want to message the seller in advance for clarification. It's listed as DS9 RPG, the Next Gen RPG, The narrators guide, and the box set of The romulan Expansion, "the Path of D'ehra".

Based on the photos, I'm pretty sure it's Last Unicorn's 1999 releases of Star Trek Deep Space Nine Roleplaying Game, the DS9 Narrator's Toolkit by Christian Moore and The Way of D'Era: The Romulan Star Empire boxset by Ross Isaacs (I don't see the box in the pics, though). Also included seems to be Decipher's CODA system release of Star Trek Roleplaying Game Narrator's Guide from 2002.

The D'Era release alone is difficult and expensive to get, so if you can snatch this for $10 plus shipping, that's a great deal. But it's not a fraction as good as the material in the underrated DS9 books, so consider getting it for those!

Still More Trek Gaming Tidbits!

Gary Mitchell's Rim AlienJust a few quick, fun finds of note tonight before dinner:

When it comes to miniatures, a good Klingon is hard to find. Or is it? Check out the new "Rim Alien" (left), and if you're interested in this and more, head over to Gary Mitchell's Shop. They're not the Big K's, of course, but they look close enough for gaming purposes. They'll be coming soon.

If you're like me, you dig schematics and deckplans. Need a good ship? Perhaps a station to visit? How about a nicely detailed Ground Base to infiltrate? Well, thanks to IceGiant in a thread over at TrekRPGNet, a site thought to be lost had turned back up: Publius' (John D. Lees?) Trek Role-Playing site, which includes maps of the Damaris Sector, some CODA house rules, and deckplans for the Nova-class, the USS Rhode Island variant, the Java-class, the Regula Station and more! Grab 'em while you can before a black hole opens up.

Owen Oulton has pointed out Samuel Kowal's lovely deckplans for the USS Raven on his deviantARt page. Samuel also has some cool original schematics (1701-F, G, H and I?) in his gallery. And Owen's added some new material to his Rising Sun campaign.

Designer John Eaves. Poor guy. His blog is about to get bombarded with Teh Angerz as he opens up the can of worms known as "How Big is the New Enterprise?"

I should have a picture this week of something that may be a perfect mini of the nuEnterprise! Though you can always bid against me on this (eBay). Hopefully this other option works. It'll be much more affordable!

Speaking of eBay, I'm too lazy, erm, busy to do Auction of the Week... so here's a bunch! Something for everyone!

Old Soldiers Never Die Romulan WarYah, I can't afford to be shopping either. I did just get (finally!) FASA module "Old Soldiers Never Die" and its very cool "The Romulan War" companion. "w00t!" as the kids say.

Like your Trek gaming Fast Furious and Fun? I'm pretty sure I mentioned Renny's Savage Worlds conversion in the big "homebrew" post months ago (still the most popular post, btw), and Bretbo has another underway. The Savage Worlds Conversion page has a newish entry from Mike Callahan called "Red Alert!" (a Word doc) that's a nice approach to ship-to-ship combat in SW. I have Pinnacle's Savage Worlds Explorer's Edition. I have a deck of cards. I have Star Trek minis out my butt. And there's a Savage Worlds Online for Fantasy Grounds, a virtual tabletop I've been wanting to try for a long time. I should really make time (HA!) to dig into SW further.

Look's like VulcanStev may have another guest post coming on that very subject. In the meantime, as promised, he has posted his own thoughts on Gaming in the Universe of Star Trek.

So, Savage Worlds: any readers play it and can tell me "yay" or "nay"?

Better yet, don't! I have to finish those nuTrek schematics, playtest EZFudge Final Frontier (and you can too!), finish the PD1 article, check out Ad Astra's cool 3D starship combat game, Squadron Strike!, send an e-mail reply to the very gracious Grandfather of Star Trek RPGs, etc., etc..

But first: DINNER!

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 6/2/09

Star Patrol by Gamescience, 1981Ugh, I knew I forgot something this week! Fortunately there are still a few days left and as of this moment, no bids!

Here's an auction for the 1981 Gamescience box set of Star Patrol, another iteration of Michael Scott Kurtick's Space Patrol system and very similar to Star Trek Adventure Gaming in the Final Frontier, and the predecessor to Terra Games' 1982 Starfleet Voyages.

The listing says "1977", but the game wasn't released until 1981. The box looks to be in very good condition (better than mine!), and it says it's complete. That should mean a bag of Gamescience precision dice, 67 page rulebook with tables and maps, a big foldout deckplan of a Pioneer-class starship, a hexmap, color standup cardboard characters and vehicle counters.

From the auction listing:

Star Patrol is an early D&D-like science fiction role playing game. Character traits are generated with 3D6. Traits are Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Charisma, Luck and Mentality. The game had other standard D&D features like psionics and savings throws. Instead of fighter, magic user, cleric character classes, Star Patrol has character professions like soldier, engineer, scientist, astronaut, trader, rogue, and spy/diplomat. Characters can be one of 32 alien races. You can also generate your own weird alien race by rolling against random tables, generating a "general type" (mammal, avian, or even a plant or crystalline derivative), a "general shape" (2, 4, 8, or more legs), size, and even your race's home planet's gravity (low, earth-like, or heavy).

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 5/27/09

Last Unicorn Star Trek RPG lot on eBayThis (link to eBay) -- a box set of Last Unicorn's Star Trek Away Team Miniatures -- was going to be auction of the week... until it went to $70 in less than a day in a bidding war between two bidders, with over 4 days left. Crazy! Two months ago, they'd be lucky to get $20 for it. Oh well... (EDIT 5/28: WTH?!?! Nevermind, back down to $10).

That's okay. Get a load of this lot (left)! Nine books from Last Unicorn Games' Trek RPGs:

  • STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION CORE GAME BOOK
  • PLAYER'S GUIDE
  • THE PRICE OF FREEDOM - THE UNITED FEDERATION OF PLANETS SOURCEBOOK
  • PLANETARY ADVENTURES: Vol. 1 FEDERATION SPACE
  • THE WAY OF KOLINAHR - THE VULCANS
  • HOLODECK ADVENTURES
  • DEEP SPACE NINE CORE GAME BOOK
  • RAIDERS, RENEGADES, AND ROGUES
  • ALL OUR YESTERDAYS: THE EXPANDED UNIVERSE TIME TRAVEL SOURCEBOOK
That's enough to keep you busy for years!

Still, you should pick this up while your at it: LUG's Star Trek Roleplaying Game TOS Core Series Book. Now we're talkin'.

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 5/6/09 and more

FASA Trek RPG Regula I Orbital Station DeckplansI haven't done auction of the week for the past few weeks because there really wasn't much that was all that compelling. This is a nice resource, though. A great homebase for characters or a place for encounters, the Regula-I Orbital Station Deckplans (#2226A). It originally came as part of the adventure supplement, The Strider Incident (#2226), that takes place on one of these outposts.

Although they're called "deckplans", they are not at all like the blueprint-style USS Enterprise or Klingon Battle Crusier deckplans released years before by FASA. It's simply a 44-page softcover book with technical details on this kind of station, a registry, area, level and room-by-room descriptions, and a 16-page pull out section that shows the plans in a scale of 3 meters per grid square. The book also includes a number of variations of the R-1 type station for defense, surveillance, penal, recreation and so on. There's not much that's FASA-specific about it at all, so GM's of any Trek system would likely find it useful and easily customizable for a number of structures in an adventure.

Here are some close-ups of actual pages (click for larger pop-ups, including the cover):

GURPS Prime DirectiveOn a separate note, I got an e-mail from Noble Knight Games today, and they're having a big sale this week. There are some great prices mint and new copies of GURPS Prime Directive, Klingons and Romulans. Do a search on "Prime Directive" and scroll down (you may have to search for Romulans separately).

Not to spoil my upcoming reviews of the various PD systems and books, but if I were to choose any of the variations, the GURPS version would be the one. First, it's self-contained (that is, it is based on and includes an integrated version of the GURPS-lite rules; you don't have to buy the GURPS core books to use them, unlike the D20 variations). Second (and this is petty), they're more attractive. Third, I think they're actually pretty great resources for running games in the TOS era. Just keep in mind that it's the Star Fleet Universe (Memory Alpha), not the Star Trek universe. Nevertheless, I think they make a good platform to build on, depending on the type of Trek game you want to run. And if you can get them for 20-35% off, all the better!

T-Minus 1 Day and counting! 24 hours from now, I'll have secured my place in line. As Nero would say, "The wait is over." Next time (most likely), my review and hopefully yours in the comments!

But wait! There's more.....

White Dwarf #18, Citadel and the TMP game

White Dwarf Magazine #18 April/May 1980I'd actually planned on covering this in a few weeks once I had wrapped up my series on Heritage's Trek game, but the item in question just came up on eBay and it's rare, so this will double as Auction of the Week (link to eBay listing for White Dwarf #18, left).

White Dwarf is the insanely old UK magazine dedicated to science fiction and fantasy wargames, miniatures and role-playing games. It started its run in 1977 and is still going today, although its focus has been almost exclusively on publisher Games Workshop's own gaming products since the mid-80s.

In early 1979, GW helped form the spinoff company Citadel Miniatures, which itself partnered with Ral Partha miniatures here in the States for manufacturing and distribution. Citadel released miniatures based on a number of licensed properties including games such as Traveller, D&D and RuneQuest, and other media properties such as my beloved Doctor Who, Judge Dredd and, in 1980, Star Trek. Specifically, miniatures based on the 1979 film Star Trek: The Motion Picture. As I have with the Heritage, FASA and other Trek minis, I'll be covering that range in more detail soon.

In a move somewhat similar to that of Heritage, White Dwarf published a 4-page article in its April/May 1980 issue (#18) called "Star Trek The Motion Picture - Rules for Adventures in the Final Frontier" by GW/WD regulars Tony Yates (artist, AD&D Field Folio) and Steve Jackson (no, not that one, but rather the WD Editor and co-founder of GW, who probably is long tired of disclaimers like this after his name). The article consisted of about a page-and-a-half of actual rules, a game scenario, a map of the Enterprise Main Bridge (TOS version) that was obviously traced directly from Franz Joseph's Star Trek Star Fleet Technical Manual, and a one page "Alien Descriptions & Painting Guide".

As you've probably guessed, the article is not so much a detailed game as it is an incentive to run out and purchase the Citadel miniatures. "These are an introductory set of adventure rules for Star Trek games," the article begins. "They serve as a basis for conducting role-playing games and tabletop battles with miniature figures. Two people may normally play, one playing Admiral Kirk and the Enterprise crew, the other playing the enemy." It encourages readers to expand upon the rules and submit their ideas and further scenarios to White Dwarf, but I'm not aware that anything further was published.

The game requires three 6-sided dice and a pair of 20-sided percentage dice (in those days, 20-sided dice usually numbered 0-9, twice), and a ruler to determine movement, range, line-of-sight and so on. Each character has two stats: Ability Factor and Combat Factor of 3-18, checked by rolling under using a D20 and a D6 (the D6 is used to determine whether to add "10" to the result of the D20, i.e. was the result a "4" or a "14"). AF is used to determine success on pretty much any plausible action that is not combat, such as a repair, a translation or an alien special power. For the sake of comparison:

Admiral Kirk: AF 18, CF 17
Mr. Spock: AF 17, CF 18
Rand: AF 14, CF 11
Klingon Leader: AF 16, CF 16

Hmmmm....Ah, and to think that I used to admire The Fantasy Trip for getting away with 3 stats!

Other rules detail the Turn Sequence, Movement, Combat ("Remember that Starfleet Regulations also require that all phasers carried by Strfleet personnel must be set to stun only at all times except in extreme circumstances or when firing at inanimate objects"), Close Combat and the Hero's Roll (basically a saving roll against death for elite characters, which apparently does not include Chekov).

The scenario, "A Guided Tour" has the Enterprise crew in drydock, giving a tour to the wide variety of alien miniatures available from your local Citadel dealer. While on the bridge, the Klingon representative gets a little too nosy about the computer system, is confronted, pulls a weapon, and action/hilarity ensues. Some aliens will ally with the Federation, some with the Klingons, and others will be neutral unless a dice roll says they're not. The Klingons win when they kill Kirk, Decker or Spock, thus changing history and preventing Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.

The article closes with a list of the miniatures, their game stats and a very simple painting guide that has as about much detail as the game itself. In short, it's not much of a miniatures game, and even less of a role-playing game (even for the time), but it probably squeezes about one evening of fun into its 4 pages. The highlight of the issue is actually a cool 6-page D&D adventure, "The Halls of Tizun Thane" by Albie Fiore that's much better than the Trek game.

If you collect or intend to collect the Citadel miniatures, the magazine is a worthy companion to your collection, especially if you can nab it in the Auction of the Week for $3 plus shipping. If nothing else, magazines from this time period are a great trip down memory lane, sometimes just for the advertisements and new game announcements (like TSR's Top Secret) and reviews.

There is also a full page ad for Citadel Miniatures Ltd near the front of the magazine, prominently featuring an advertisement for the STTMP 25mm miniatures range, and listing the figures (noting that each pack was 50p, and contained two different poses/figures even though Kirk actually had a 3rd variant):

Mark Dixon's Mr. Spock - Click to visit his site at http://www.artwho9figurepainting.co.uk/ST1 Captain Kirk

ST17 Zaranites
ST18 K'normians
ST19 Rigellians
ST20 Rhaandrites
ST21 Shamin Priests
ST22 Megarites
ST23 Saurians
ST24 Andoreans

Note - It does not list the four 54mm miniatures that were released in 1980, which I include here just for reference:

ST5401 Captain Kirk Seated at Helm
ST5402 Mister Spock
ST5403 Ilia in Deltan Leisure Dress
ST5404 Klingon raider with Laser Pistol

Again, I'll be covering as many of the figures as I can at a later date. In the meantime, you can check out the Collecting Citadel Miniatures Wiki for a nearly complete reference on the range.

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 4/13/09

Sorry for the prolonged absence, busy with real life and moving my office. Should be able to get back on track this week.

We'll start it off with Auction of the Week. Ask most Trek gamers over the age of 30 which system is their favorite, and they'll say something like, "I like the ____ system best, but the FASA one always holds a special place in my heart," or they'll just outright say that FASA's Star Trek The Role Playing Game is still their favorite.

This week's auction is for the 1985 Basic Game, Second Edition version (FASA #2004). This was the more affordable version with new and expanded rules, including the Star Fleet Officer's Manual (40 pages), the Game Operations Manual (48 pages), the Cadet's Orientation Sourcebook (80 pages), and two 20-sided dice (numbered 0-9, as real mens' dice were in those days) in a slimmer box with cover art by Rowena Morrill. Unlike the Deluxe versions, no separate starship combat system nor sheets and counters were included.

Also up for auction this week, more FASA goodness: the 1983 Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan Collector's Series Number Two: USS Reliant and Khan's Crew miniatures box set (FASA #3002), with USS Reliant (1/3900 scale) and these 25mm figures: Khan Noonian Singh (Ceti Alpha V), Joachim (Ceti Alpha V), Khan Noonian Singh (normal), Joachim, 2 male followers, 3 female followers.

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 3/29/09

Star Trek TOS Sound Effects CD I didn't come across anything particulary thrilling this weekend and was about to skip Auction of the Week altogether, then it occurred to me that there was something no Trek RPG GM should be without:

Star Trek: Sound Effects from the Original TV Soundtrack
Performers: Jack Finlay, Douglas Grindstaff and Joseph Sorokin
Label: GNP Crescendo Records
Catalog #: GNPD 8010
Running Time: 39:47
Release Date: 1988
# of Tracks: 69

Now, no one likes a GM who spends all there time playing with the laptop ("Wait, you're going through the door? Hold on, I've got a sound effect for that..."), but there are some nice long loops on here such as "Enterprise Bridge Sequence" and "Alien Planet Surface" that should be irresistable (and low maintenance) for a session. Toss in a "Red Alert" and a "Transporter Energize", and you're all set. I've linked to one going for $6.99 with free shipping that expires on Tuesday, but there are a number of them up for auction at any given time, and no reason that you'd ever have to pay much more than $10 for it used. Energize!

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 3/21/09

Gamescience SPACE PATROLI'm finishing up my piece of Heritage's Star Trek RPG (and laundry), and here's its daddy on eBay: Lou Zocchi presents Space Patrol by Michael Scott Kurtick and Rockland Russo, released by Gamescience in 1977. It went on to spawn various games: Heritage's Star Trek: Adventure Gaming in the Final Frontier (1978), Gamescience's Star Patrol (1981), and Terra Games' Starfleet Voyages (1982).

Although not officially licensed, Space Patrol made some tongue-in-cheek use of the terminology and setting of Trek, referencing Kirk, phasers, Klingons, landing parties and so on. At the same time, its ambitions went beyond Trek-with-serial-numbers-filed and also included references to Niven's Kzinti, Asimov's Foundation, Heinlein's Starship Troopers, Flash Gordon, Pournelle's Falkenberg's Legion and -- in a last minute addenda -- the new kid on the block, Star Wars.

Not a great game, but definitely a piece of RPG history, and a less expensive way to get virtually the same rules as the first Trek roleplaying game.

But wait! There's more.....

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 3/13/09

Terra Games Starfleet VoyagesJust a quick entry for Auction of the Week, a little earlier than ususal. If you've been looking for this, I didn't want you to miss it:

STARFLEET VOYAGES

The Final Frontier holds Danger and Adventure for those who volunteer for STARFLEET VOYAGES!
A complete roleplaying system for interstellar adventure including a separate starship combat game with color counters.

Publisher Terra Games Company (1982), designed by Michael Scott (this copy signed by the designer!)

As briefly covered here in one of my first entries, Michael Scott Kurtick released this game, called Starfleet Voyages, which is esstentially the 4th and final version of Space Patrol. Which makes it sort of an 3rd version of Heritage's Star Trek: Adventure Gaming in the Final Frontier, and includes most of the same material but adds starship combat.

Despite it being a not-so-thinly-veiled unlicensed Star Trek game, I'd say it's arguably the best of his games in almost every respect. As any of them are notoriously difficult to find, this is a great opportunity to get your hands on one. Good luck!

But wait! There's more.....

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 3/9/09

Nothing hugely compelling for Auction of the Week this time. But this isn't a bad lot at all, especially for those looking to grab an entire Trek RPG system with useful supporting modules for a low bid.

This FASA Star Trek The Role Playing Game (Deluxe 2nd Edition) includes the core rulebooks, the Star Trek Tactical Combat Simulator components with map and unpunched counters, the Regula One Station Deckplans, and The Four Years War, The Strider Incident (part of the Regula module), The Federation, Return to Axanar, and the Ship Contruction Manual.

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 3/2/09

FASA Collectors Edition Star Trek Miniatures Box SetsSpeaking of those FASA miniatures boxed sets...

It's rare that you actually see FASA's Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan Collector's Edition Box Sets on eBay, especially #3004, the Klingon set. Even rarer to find a number of them listed at the same time. But this is one of those rare weeks, so here are three of them for this week's "Auction of the Week".

3001 USS Enterprise and Crew - USS Enterprise (1/3900 scale), 25mm figures: Admiral Kirk, First Officer Spock, Dr. Leonard McCoy, Lt. Saavik, Chief Engineer Scott, Commander Chekov, Mister Sulu, and Comm Officer Uhura. (expires 3/3)

3002 USS Reliant and Khan's Crew - USS Reliant (1/3900 scale), 25mm figures: Khan Noonian Singh (Ceti Alpha V), Joachim (Ceti Alpha V), Khan Noonian Singh (normal), Joachim, 2 male followers, 3 female followers. (expires 3/7)

3003 Space Laboratory Regula One and Scientists - Regula One Space Lab (1/2900 scale), 25mm figures: Dr. Carol Marcus, Dr. David Marcus, Jedda, Two Project Genesis scientist, computer console, Genesis control. (expires 3/7)

Still no sign of that elusive Klingon set, though. sigh

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 2/23/09

FASA Star Trek DeckplansUp on eBay this week, reasonably priced deck plans from FASA's 1983 Star Trek The Role Playing Game, both the "USS Enterprise 15mm Deck Plans Boxed Set" (FASA 2101) and "Klingon D7 15mm Deck Plans Boxed Set" (FASA 2102).

These are pretty much the same as the deckplans that FASA included with the First Edition STRPG Deluxe Box Set (FASA 2001), but on a much larger scale. It's kind of a stretch to say that they were suitable for the miniature FASA would release, but they get the job done. And if nothing else... they're pretty cool, for gaming or not!

Each includes nine 22"x33" folded heavy stock sheets that display the interior and exterior of the ships, with a 1/2" square grid overlay, and a 12 page "Ship Recognition Handbook". You don't often see them for under $15 each, so I'd have to say this is a pretty good deal.

But wait! There's more.....

Monday, February 16, 2009

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 2/16/09

FASA 1983 Klingon Box Set Of course, as soon as I say that there's nothing interesting for Auction of the Week, something shows up!

Looks like this listing for the 1983 FASA Star Trek RPG "The Klingons" Box Set may include not only the original 1st edition box (and contents including the rare counters?) but also the Klingon Ship blueprints and the follow-up 2nd Editon books from 1987. Based on his picture, I'm guessing that the blueprints are not the larger scale ones from the 15mm Deckplans box, but rather those included with the Deluxe Version of the ST RPG.

If interested, you'll want to ask the seller if it includes the things not seen in the picture, such as the 1st Edition books, the Klingon counters, and the special Klingon combat panels. Still, at an opening bid of 99 cents, it's hard to go wrong with what was arguably the best of the FASA supplements (due to the fantastic background written by John M. Ford).

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 2/8/09

One of the best Trek RPG supplements ever written, so good it influenced one of the series (Enterprise). Sadly, the only supplement (other than The Narrator's Toolkit) released by Last Unicorn Games for its TOS version of Star Trek Roleplaying Game. A useful resource for any of the Trek systems for one of the more neglected species of the Trek universe.

Star Trek RPG Last Unicorn Games Among the Clans - The Andorians

by the incomparable S. John Ross, with Steven S. Long and Adam Dickstein.

Shows up less and less on eBay these days. For complete details, check out the Memory Alpha wiki entry on this great book.

Trek RPG Auction of the Week - 2/1/09

2803 The Star Trek Tricorder/Starship Sensors Interactive DisplaySaw this listing on eBay and it gave me an idea for a new feature: the Star Trek RPG Auction of the Week. When I post, you'll have to click the link to see the pictures, no point in me posting them because they'll only disappear after awhile.

This is an auction for a collection of 46 supplements -- some sealed and some used -- for FASA's Star Trek The Role Playing Game, including some rare ones like #2214 The Star Trek III Sourcebook (updating TOS for the Movie Era) and #2802 The Star Trek II Wrath of Khan Game Master's Screen. He's even got one of the strangest and most unique RPG supplements ever released, #2803 The Star Trek Tricorder/Starship Sensors Interactive Display.
